Privacy Notice
Effective date: September 13, 2026
1. Who we are
Steadfast (“we”, “us”, or “our”) is the registered business behind Steadfast, a study-planning service for students. We act as the data controller for personal data we collect through the Service.
2. What data we collect
- Account data: email address, display name, and authentication information.
- Syllabus and course data: files, text, and extracted information you upload to build your plan.
- Usage data: features used, plan interactions, and device/IP information for security and improvement.
- Support data: messages you send us when you ask for help.
3. How we use your data
We use your data to provide and improve the Service, keep your account secure, respond to support requests, and send important updates. We rely on contract performance, legitimate interests, consent, and legal obligation as our legal bases, depending on the processing activity.
4. Who we share data with
We share data only with trusted service providers who help us run the Service, such as hosting, analytics, and support tooling. We also share transaction-related data with Paddle, our Merchant of Record, for payment processing, subscription management, tax compliance, and invoicing. We may share data with professional advisers or authorities where required by law.
5. Data retention
We keep your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymise your data within a reasonable period, unless we are required to keep it longer by law.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your personal data, and to object to certain processing. You may also withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. To exercise your rights, email us at Steadfastplanner@gmail.com.
7. Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit and access controls. No system is completely secure, so we encourage you to use a strong password.
8. Cookies
Steadfast uses essential cookies to keep you signed in and maintain your preferences. We may use analytics cookies to understand how the Service is used. You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings.
9. Children
Steadfast is intended for students who are old enough to consent to data processing in their jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.
10. International transfers
Your data may be stored and processed in countries other than your own. We use appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses, to protect your data when it is transferred internationally.
11. Changes to this Notice
We may update this Privacy Notice from time to time. We will post the revised version with a new effective date and, for significant changes, notify you through the Service or by email.
